Lloydminster, Alberta – The Lloydminster RCMP are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the individual responsible for a theft of a poppy box. Early this morning, Lloydminster RCMP were dispatched to a business in the 3900 block of 50th avenue. The unidentified individual is seen on camera entering the store, grabbing the poppy donation box, and fleeing while being chased by staffed.
“This is a huge fundraiser for those men and women who put their lives on the line for our safety,” according to Const. Grant Kirzinger of the Lloydminster RCMP Detachment. “It is unbelievable that someone would steal the poppy box.”
The suspect is described as:
• Male
• Wearing a black “VANS” hat
• White sunglasses around his neck
• Black and white track style pants
