Leduc, Alberta – On April 3 at approximately 10:45 p.m., Leduc RCMP Traffic Services observed a truck driving at a high rate of speed, over 180 km/hr on highway 2 north. The driver lost control and went into the ditch. The officer activated their emergency lights and approached the vehicle, however it fled from police.
Leduc RCMP continued to monitor the direction of travel of the truck and deployed a tire deflation device which was successful in flattening some tires. The vehicle continued driving and eventually pulled into a parking lot in south Edmonton.

Leduc RCMP arrested the lone male occupant of the vehicle. No injuries or property damage resulted from this incident.
A 29-year-old male from Lloydminster, Alberta has been charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, flight from police and refuse to comply with demand.
