Kitscoty, Alberta – On March 26, 2020, at approximately 6 p.m., Kitscoty RCMP responded to an assault that had occurred at a rural business property just west of the City of Lloydminster, Alta.
A male victim had interrupted an unknown male suspect breaking into a C-can. The suspect assaulted the victim during the confrontation with a metal pole before fleeing the scene in a truck. The victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries as a result of the assault and received medical treatment.

The suspects vehicle was later recovered and police were able to identify the suspect as Troy Wayne MacDonald (39) of Onion Lake, SK. A warrant was issued with charges of aggravated assault, robbery with a weapon and driving while disqualified for the accused.
On March 31, 2020, MacDonald was located and arrested by Onion Lake RCMP and transported back to Lloydminster for a judicial hearing. He was released after the hearing with conditions and is set to appear in Lloydminster Provincial Court on July 14, 2020.
