Sylvan Lake, Alberta – On October 2nd, 2019, the Sylvan Lake RCMP were alerted to a stolen truck on Highway 11 outside of Sylvan Lake. Members attended and located the truck parked on the side on the Highway. The two occupants were arrested without incident.
1. Jason Cunningham, age 29 of Red Deer, Alta. was charged with one count of Possession of Stolen Property over $5000.
2. Kyler Corriveau, age 24. from Eckville, Alta. was charged with one count of Possession of Stolen property over $5000 and one count of a controlled substance(Methamphetamine)
A few minutes later, Sylvan Lake RCMP were called to investigate a suspicious vehicle and trailer. Following an investigation, RCMP learned that the truck had been recently stolen from the Chiles Industrial area and the travel trailer was stolen from an RV facility in Red Deer. RCMP arrested two individuals:
1. Brianna Carroll, 23 of Red Deer, Alta. She was charged with possession of stolen property over $5000 and possession of stolen property under $5000, two counts of breaching a recognizance and two further counts of breaching probation orders. The last 4 charges are related to having been charged for offenses and being released from custody.
2. Jay Dee Coffman, 35 of Red Deer, Alta. was charged with possession of stolen property over $5000 and possession of stolen property under $5000, three counts of breaching a recognizance and two further counts of breaching probation orders. The last 5 charges are all related to having been charged for offenses and being released from custody.
During this investigation, a second stolen truck and travel trailer were located by Sylvan Lake members. The trailer was stolen from the same Red deer business as the previous one and the truck was also stolen from the Red Deer area.
During the afternoon of October 2nd, 2019, a Sylvan Lake RCMP member was patrolling and located a female wanted on outstanding warrants.
Jessica Robidoux of Sylvan Lake was wanted on 8 outstanding warrants:
1. Criminal Harassment
2. Four (4) counts of failing to comply with her conditions of recognizance
3. Two (2) counts of failing to comply with her conditions of probation
4. One (1) count of failing to appear in court.
During the afternoon of October 2nd, 2019, Sylvan Lake members executed a search warrant at a Sylvan Lake residence on Ryders Ridge Blvd.
This search warrant execution was a result of an investigation into the drug and weapons trade. Police seized 26 grams of methamphetamine, 34 grams of Fentanyl, 27 grams of Cocaine, GHB, a stolen loaded handgun from Lloydminster, an insecure 12-gauge tactical shotgun and a stolen “Scott” airpack breathing apparatus.
1. Christopher Wales, 36 from Red Deer, Alta. is charged with three counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, one count of possession of a controlled substance, one count of possession of stolen property under $5000, two counts of careless storage/use of a firearm, one count of illegal possession of a firearm, one count of possessing a restricted firearm that is readily accessible to ammunition, one count of knowingly possessing a firearm that was stolen and two(2) counts of possessing a firearm while prohibited
2. Bianca Hughes, age 35 of Sylvan Lake, Alta. was charged with three counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, one count of possession of a controlled substance, one count of possession of stolen property under $5000, two counts of careless storage/use of a firearm, one count of illegal possession of a firearm, one count of possessing a restricted firearm that is readily accessible to ammunition, one count of knowingly possessing a firearm that was stolen and Two(2) counts of breaching recognizance from previous arrests and charges.
Both Hughes and Wales are still in Police Custody awaiting a bail hearing.
Sylvan Lake RCMP executed a search warrant on another residence in Sylvan Lake during the early morning hours of October 3rd, 2019. As a result of information received from the public, a stolen Side by Side, one ATV, 4 motorcycles and an SKS rifle were recovered. That investigation is ongoing and no charges have been laid at this point.
At approximately 8:00 a.m., October 3rd, 2019, Crime Reduction members from Central Alberta District located a stolen motorcycle from Calgary being operated in the Bentley area. This motorcycle was recovered and one male was arrested. This investigation is ongoing.

Lloydminster RCMP investigating fatal collision
Lloydminster, Alberta – Lloydminster RCMP are investigating a single vehicle collision that occurred in the 5900 block of 12th street on May 20 at approximately 1:30 a.m..
An 18-year-old male, the lone occupant, was found at the scene deceased.
Out of respect for the family, the decedents’ name will not be released.

As this investigation is still on going there will be no further updates.

Two Hills RCMP arrest two, recover $200,000 worth of stolen property
Two Hills County, Alberta – “We will continue to collaborate with specialized units to combat property crime,” says Sergeant Robert Daisley, Two Hills RCMP Detachment Commander. “Approximately $200,000 worth of stolen property was recovered and we are returning these items to their rightful owners.”
Over the past year, Two Hills RCMP have been actively investigating reported chop shops operating in the Two Hills County area. On April 23, 2019 RCMP conducted a traffic stop with a female on a scooter driving on Highway 45. During the traffic stop, the scooter was found to be stolen and further investigation lead police to a property in the area.
On April 25, 2019, Two Hills RCMP along with members of the Vegreville RCMP, RCMP Auto Theft Unit, St. Paul Traffic, and the Eastern Alberta Rural Crime Reduction Unit (EADRCRU) dismantled a rural ‘Chop Shop’ in Two Hills County. Search warrants were executed at three rural properties north of Two Hills. Several stolen trucks, utility trailers, ATVs, travel trailers, generators, and other tools were recovered.

Craig Allen Wince (45) of Two Hills was charged with the following Criminal Code offences:
• Possession of property obtained by crime less than $5000 (x4)
• Possession of property obtained by crime over $5000 (x8)
He was released after a judicial hearing and is set to appear in Vegreville Provincial Court on June 17, 2019.




Jamie Bruhm (33) of Vegreville was charged with possession of property obtained by crime less than $5000. She was released and is set to appear in Vegreville Provincial Court on June 10, 2019.
The stolen property was from several areas including: Camrose, Lloydminster, Lavoy, Smoky Lake, Sedgewick and Sherwood Park.

Barricaded suspect leads to charges: Lloydminster RCMP
Lloydminster, Alberta – On May 18, 2019 at approximately 6 a.m. Members of the Lloydminster Detachment, and Maidstone Detachment with assistance from Police Dog Services, and the General Investigation Team, are investigating an armed and barricaded subject in an apartment building in the 5100 block of 36th street. Members were informed that a male, later identified as Craig Fox (22) of Little Pine First Nation, had attacked another male with a machete, and was now running around the apartment building.
Fox was located a short time later and after a short fight with RCMP members was arrested. The male victim was transported via EMS to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Fox was charged with the following:
• Assault with a weapon
• Assault on a police officer (x2)
• Resisting arrest
• Failing to comply with probation order
• Uttering threats (x2)

Fox was remanded in custody for his court appearance on May 28 in Lloydminster Provincial Court.

UPDATE2: RCMP Major Crimes Unit investigate suspicious death of male
Lloydminster, Alberta – The RCMP Major Crimes Unit have arrested and charged an additional male with the murder of Raymond Dumont.
Mark Moran (33) was arrested yesterday and charged with first degree murder. He was remanded into custody and will be appearing in Lloydminster Provincial Court on June 4, 2019.
As this matter in now before the courts, no further information will be provided.

Christopher Andrew Hermkens (28) of Edmonton was arrested in Calgary for the murder of Raymond Dumont (32) that occurred in Lloydminster, Alberta on April 27, 2019.
He was remanded into custody and will be appearing in Lloydminster Provincial Court via CCTV this morning at 10:00 a.m.

Police responded to a residential neighbourhood in the area of 56 Avenue and 31 Street and located a deceased male inside a vehicle.
The RCMP Major Crimes Unit with the assistance of Lloydminster RCMP Detachment and RCMP Forensic Identification Services continue to investigate. An autopsy has been schedule for Wednesday May 1, 2019 at the office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Edmonton.
